Piotr Pauk aka Lump – a Szczecin-based artist, a graduate of the Multimedia Communications Department of the Academy of Fine Arts in Poznań. A self-taught cartoonist, active on the graffiti scene since 1999. Using mixed techniques, from the most classic to more modern and innovative ones, he presents his utopia which is a safe place away from the pragmatic reality. An activist in urban space, a mural painter, a spatial installation constructor, and a photographer. His wall and exterior painting is clearly inspired by fantasy fiction, comic books, and Latin American paintings. The organizer and creator of Szczecin's “Action: Mural/UNBLOCKING”. He often collaborates with the Warsaw art duo – Sepe/Chazme.
- I've been using this alias for a long time, Lump – a free spirit, a rioter, a city vagabond, who draws his inspiration from the city and its residents – explains the artist. – Moving around the city, I discover various interesting places. In daily life, in the closed space of cars, we ignore them. Behind the wheel, we look only through the glass, in this haste we do not feel the city.
